SP 3. - Years have passed . Where did it all go? What about that search for the unobtainable, the intangible , the transcendental . Can I find the guts to break away from society's expectations ? You reflect that you too found it difficult to ' disobey ' and that each generation comes round foolcircle . Looking back with some regret.
lyrics
THE STUDENT PRINCE PART 3 'Foolcircle'
Maybe I'm right, maybe I'm not,
But here's to the one I have never forgotten,
Selling his soul for a song
And here's to the boy,I was once long ago,
Reflected in silence,I feel for him so,
But nothing can help him now.
Losing my way, I decided to follow,
The path led astray,
Down the hill I go, I'm out of control,
Trying to make up the time.
Falling, falling ,
Running so hard just to,
Keep on, keep on standing still.
My feet's in the gutter, but I look to the stars,
The thing which I seek isn't money or cars,
But I wish I could stop, oh I wish I could stop,
I wish I could rest for a while.
And where is the one who put light in my eyes,
Gave me the longing the love and the fire,
What I was given was taken away,
A brief glimpse of heaven as time slips away and away.
Our life goes round, I can see in your eyes that you know,
Our life goes round, and we do it again
So here's to the boy that I was once before,
Could that be me, I can't tell anymore?
And here is the pay off, the joy and the pain,
Come round foolcircle, we do it again and again.
Our life goes round, I can see in your eyes that you know,
Our life goes round, and we do it again.
Our life goes round, I can see in your eyes that you know,
Our life goes round, and we do it again.
(solo)
Our life goes round, I can see in your eyes that you know,
Our life goes round, and we do it again.
And where is my father, my friend and my foe,
I need him to be here, I need him to know,
He gave me his love, yet I gave up the game,
And his disappointment was always, always my shame.
Our life goes round, I can see in your eyes that you know,
Our life goes round, and we do it again and again.

In the wake of buying the Welcome To The Planet I also went for this older "EP" (clocking in on 70 minutes a rather big big EP...) as a final farewell to a very bright bright star that sadly doesn't shine anymore. Carsten Pieper

What can I say about Big Big Train that I haven’t said before?
This album took a little while to grow on me but by the time I saw it live I was in love with its humongous, over-egged pomposity! They do it all with such passion, excitement and amazing musicianship.
