Here it comes, like a thief in the night it comes stealing up on me,
A sense of a foreign land.
Hear my heart, it's getting so fast as I hear the Siren's call,
But all I can feel is a gift I'm going to treasure.
Calling from the Western sky,
It beckons me to leave,
Now's the time I've waited for,
The setting sun before the night - trick of the light?
Here it comes, yet it could have been yesterday,
Here it comes, yet it could have been yesterday.
'Took my hand and showed me a world I could only hope was there,
A sense of a better place.
And all the while I drift away I give to you my soul,
The pain and the sorrow gives some kind of meaning.
Calling from the Western sky,
It beckons me to leave,
Now's the time I've waited for,
A time to live,a time to die in the blink of an eye.
Here it comes, yet it could have been yesterday,
Here it comes, yet it could have been yesterday.
Through the pain, through the pain.
Through the mysteries of life,
I have gained, I have gained something,
Something.
Here it comes, yet it could have been yesterday,
Here it comes, yet it could have been yesterday.
Here it comes, yet it could have been yesterday,
(Still and all the circle comes around around around around around)
Here it comes, yet it could have been yesterday,
(All the pain and sorrow gives some kind of meaning)
Here it comes, yet it could have been yesterday,
(Still and all the circle comes around around around around around)
Here it comes, yet it could have been yesterday..

In the wake of buying the Welcome To The Planet I also went for this older "EP" (clocking in on 70 minutes a rather big big EP...) as a final farewell to a very bright bright star that sadly doesn't shine anymore. Carsten Pieper

What can I say about Big Big Train that I haven’t said before?
This album took a little while to grow on me but by the time I saw it live I was in love with its humongous, over-egged pomposity! They do it all with such passion, excitement and amazing musicianship.
